Chief Minister Siddaramaiah orders CID probe into Attibele firecracker warehouse disaster
The state government has ordered a CID probe into the fire incident at the firecracker warehouse in Atthibele.
The death toll has risen to 14 in connection with the fire disaster that broke out at a firework warehouse in Attibele district of Bangalore Rural.
We will investigate the incident and take action against the culprits. It is a big tragedy that 14 people died. Condolences to the bereaved family and may the departed soul rest in peace. The Chief Minister said that he would pray to God to give strength to all their families to bear the pain.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that as already announced, the family of the deceased will be given Rs 5 lakh by the government and the medical expenses of the injured will be borne by the government.
No safety measures have been taken in the place where firecrackers are sold and stocked. 14 people died and 4 people were seriously injured in the incident where Explosives Act was violated.
Fire brigade personnel managed to douse the fire completely and we are handing over the case to CID. The CID will investigate the incident and submit a report to the government. CM Siddaramaiah said that whoever did the wrong, they will be punished by the law.
Regarding the case, it is said that a case has been registered against the warehouse owner Ramaswamy Reddy and the land owner Anil in the Attibele police station under IPC section 337, 338, 304, 337, 338, 9 (B) Explosive substance.
